Owner/Operator Eric Gass has been an outdoors man since birth. He grew up hunting and fishing the Pioneer Valley and the Berkshires. Later in life he migrated to Cape Cod to learn the ways of saltwater angling. His well rounded educated approach to guiding and training has proved successful both in the woods and on the water. He has been guiding on the Deerfield for over 7 years, while being G-Loomis endorsed he guided clients on the Western Massachusetts fisheries and saltwater on Cape. As a boy, he was taught the intricacies of training bird dogs for upland game. His autumns have been filled with chasing grouse, whitetail deer, and steelhead trout. He got his first Gordon Setter as a young boy, it was then he fell in love with the breed. His hunting partner Duncan, a 2 year old Gordon, has proved himself in the field. Eric graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2008 and returned to guiding.
